The Electra brand was built on bikes like this - comfortable, easy to ride and simple. And they have this clever patented design that means you can have your feet flat on the ground and still have the saddle at the right height to have a good pedalling style! They call it 'Flat Foot Technology'. Probably not the catchiest name out there.
This is a bike you sit in, almost, rather than on. Super comfortable, easy to ride, and hard to pedal along without a smile on your face. It has a coaster (back-pedal) brake at the rear and a handbrake at the front. It has a loooong wheelbase so it's super stable and confidence inspiring. It has big, fat, balloon tyres which soak up bumps and float over everything (yep, even beach sand!).
It's not one for the hills, with only one gear, but is just the ticket for kicking around a caravan park, along a coast/beach track, even the Intercity Bikeway!
Finally, these are excellent bikes for people who have a disability or impairment to riding. Its low step-over height makes getting aboard easy, the low saddle height inspires confidence, and it can easily be fitted with adult sized stabiliser wheels.
